IntroductionHello, my name is Nathan Ferguson, age 12. My brother Adam, age 9, and I would like to welcome you to the Kings River. Throughout the seven years of my rafting experience, the Kings has been one of my favorites, and I hope it will be yours too.
Remember that the river gives more fun than fear, so look forward to a great time with your mom or dad or both. If you have the fear of falling out, etc., you won't have as much fun on the river. On my first trip I was scared to death, but after the biggest rapid it became the funnest thing I had ever done. If it's your first time I am sure you might be a little afraid, but after the first rapid you're going to be waiting for the next one.
We hope that these pages will leave you both knowledgeable and exited about this wondrous river. The Kings River is unique for its variety of wildlife and wildflowers. The views of the granite peaks and Kings Canyon are spectacular. The Kings also has a rich Native American History. In these pages we will feature activities, history, wildlife, rules and general information.
P.S. If you're going to get into a water fight, check which way the wind is blowing.
